"Though we drifted apart in distance
I still think of you as being right there.
And although we have many new friends,
it is our friendship that means the most to me."

All I can really say is that I have missed by blogging friends so very much. Reading your blogs and keeping up with you was always a high light in my day. I started blogging after my two kids were out of the house, my husband was semi-retired and life was the slow pace I had always imagined my life to be at this age. I enjoyed meeting new stitcher's and crafter's through my blog and theirs. I joined the "Stitched with Love Exchange" and was so excited not only sending a package but receiving one from far away places. If you had asked me a couple of years ago I would have said my life was near perfect. I say near because I was not a mother in law so I couldn't be a grandmother, then life would have been perfect. But God had other plans for us and gave us our niece to raise. Boy I can say I was not really ready for all the challenges that held. I can say life is starting to have a normal feel about it, even if she did start middle school this year. Any mom out there knows middle school is a strange age anyways much well for a girl who has lost both parents and moved in with a aunt that now had rules and church and school came first.
I last left blogging right in the middle of a retreat with Pam. Many may have thought I ran away from home and never returned. Well I did come home but life just got in the way. I did have a wonderful time at the retreat and am looking for the pictures to show you. I did have them on my computer but shortly after I got home my computer of less than six months crashed with no warning. I had not really gotten use to that computer when I had to take it back and trade it for a new one. So when I locate the pictures on a old drive I will show you. Meantime I have been stitching and sewing, I had to so I wouldn't lose what sanity I still had.
My mom wanted a purse with a sewing theme. I found this cute material and made it for Mother's Day.
I love to do the house in apple theme for September. It reminds me of back to school. Of course we use to start school right after Labor Day. Anna started school August 12th so September doesn't have the same back to school feel it use to. I had this piece to stitch for years, don't even remember where I got it. It came with the little red buttons across the top to make the apples. A shop this summer was celebrating their one year opening and had some fun specials. I bought this cute frame on sale not knowing what would fit in it and they gave the stand away for coming during the anniversary. I was so surprised when I finished the piece and it fit.
I have never done a mystery piece but decided since I like Little House designs so much I would give it a try. I can't say I liked stitching a piece not knowing what the whole thing looked like. I am happy with the piece except I am not a fan of the alphabet that is stitched on so many pieces. So I stitched in the title of the piece instead. Not sure how I am going to finish it off.
I am sure I have lost a few followers but for those who are still out there, a big THANK YOU for those hanging in there. I hope to post more often as I try and get a normal life back.

once it is broken it can rarely be put
back together exactly the same way."

I pray our friendship is not broken but can come back even stronger. I have thought about you all so many times and looking forward to keeping up.
Always keep love in your stitches,
Teresa
