Ready to Go!

"A vacation is like love -
anticipated with pleasure, experienced with discomforts
 and remembered with nostalgia."
Arthur Unknown

I am still in the anticipating stage of my vacation but not for long. I leave tomorrow evening for the New England Stitching Retreat. Hopefully my only experience with discomfort will be the all night flight I am taking.

We can bring some of our stitched items to share with the group. Since I am flying I choose smaller items to take with me. I have first choose the Christmas Etui Tree. This was the piece Thea taught us last year so I wanted to show I had finished it. I know it could be better but it was my first time finishing a piece like this, I have never even done a stand up before this. The other is my flower ball by Just Nan.

My local stitch shop for their anniversary had a limited edition piece (that just means they can charge more, and I fell for it) designed by Just Nan. I thought it matched my tree so I will also be taking it to share. It is a scissor case.

My mom knew I was making a Halloween set to take with me and packed all my Halloween shirts to wear. This is what she gave me this week to take with me. A fun pair of ear rings and watch.

I keep singing "All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go". I really enjoy flying and so looking forward to getting away. I will try and post while I'm away. Hopefully I will have some beautiful fall pictures of the changing leaves. Pam and I will keep you updated on the retreat. Wish everyone was going with us. Maybe there will be a blog friend there.

I'm all packed and counting the hours. Next post from the beautiful New England states.

Always keep love in your stitches,
Teresa

That tower is ABSOLUTELY stunning, I think I'm in love! I've seen a similar thing done with stacked borniscus but nothing quite like that before. I think the scissor keep matches wonderfully.

Very cute earrings, have an absolutely wonderful time away!
