Sharing

"Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle,
and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared."
Buddha quote

Crafters can be the most generous of people. They are not afraid to light another candle  by passing on their wisdom and supplies. I have been very fortunate in receiving from others.

First there is the La-D-Da traveling pattern "ABCD". First Peggy Lee had it and loaned it to Jennifer. Jennifer then posted she would share the pattern with Peggy's permission. I signed up and waited for my turn. Edgar sent it to me  and I last posted my progress. I am happy to say I have completed the pattern and now you can follow it on Kathy's blog. It will be off in the mail tomorrow to her.

28 count Silver Spun Linen
Crescent Colors Jolly Holly and Secondhand Rose

Since I am among friends I will tell you what happened. I last told you I had a visit from the frog and had to go back to "D" to fix it. So I continued on a bit after that and it still was not right. It seems I really needed to go  back to "B". I was so frustrated I just started over.

OK can't get it to post correct but yes you are seeing two. I am warning my over seas friends I have put the frog on a over seas flight with a one way ticket . Isn't it strange how some of the simplest patterns give you the most trouble.

I finished my piece as a pillow. I used some of the chenille trim Pam gave me for Christmas to finish it off. It is now sitting on my craft room bed with my pink Valentine bedspread.

I commented on Nataly's Needle Creation blog about a cute piece she did. It was Val's Stuff, Little Bitty Kitty Quilt Club. It was 12 small quilts with a kitty in each one. I said they would be cute little fobs on their own. When Nataly was done with the pattern she sent it on to me.

Not only did she send me the pattern but a pair of cute scissors, some fabric pieces to use for fobs and the most beautiful counting pins she made herself.

I have already stitched up one of the quilts on one of her pieces of linen. I will now sew it into a fob.

OK once again don't know why some of the pictures are coming out sideways. You can't tell but it is stitched on a very light green. I changed the greens in the pattern to match.

Thank you so much Nataly for the fun unexpected package.

Very pretty stitching! Love the pinks and soft greens. Isn't it frustrating some day how something as simple as counting can be so difficult -- be we keep on stitching!

Oh I love your choice of colors with the ABCD! I think I could stitch that more than once ~ each time with a different color scheme to match the seasons. I stitched mine in fall ~ wonder if that's why I picked the colors I did?

So sweet of Nataly! Your first piece is so cute!

Teresa, your ABCD is so very lovely! I really like the way you finished it too. If you remember I had such an awful time with that chart and had to stop and start it over again too. I thought I shook those frogs out before I sent it to Jennifer but one must have held on tight.

A very sweet gesture from Nataly.
